Description of Research and Extension Interests
Nutrition and management of the lactating dairy cow, with particular emphasis on the heat-stressed cow. Potassium supplementation, dietary cation-anion difference, and fiber supplementation during hot weather are all research interests of mine. In extension, I do programs at the county, state, and regional level on management and nutrition of the lactating dairy cow, heat stress management, and in the production of high quality forages.
